Mobile Fun returns to profit with sales of over £7 million

The UK’s leading Internet retailer for Everything Mobile, Mobile Fun (www.mobilefun.co.uk),today announced renewed sales growth and a healthy return to profitfor the year ending 31st March 2010. Following increased order volumes, the company has posted sales of over £7 million (a15% revenue increase from 2009), with profits before tax of over half a million pounds(compared with a loss of £17,000 in 2009)

Asda sees sales fall since 2006

Marks & Spencer moves into m-commerce

Marks and Spencer has launched a web site designed specifically for mobile phone users, where shoppers can search, browse and buy products directly from their mobile handsets. The site, m.marksandspencer.com, offers 24,000 products for sale including, home & furniture, clothing, TVs, iPods and gifts. The mobile site is synchronised with the main Marks & Spencer web site, allowing customers to log onto existing accounts from either a mobile or PC.

ASDA appoints Andy Clarke as chief executive

BRC-KPMG Retail Sales Monitor April 2010

UK retail sales values fell 2.3% on a like-for-like basis from April 2009, when sales had picked up 4.6%, boosted then by Easter falling in April 2009 but March 2008. The April trading period included only Easter Sunday and Monday this year, but all of Easter in 2009. On a total basis, sales fell 0.2% against a 6.3% increase in April 2009.

Sainsbury's, to post full-year profits of well over £600 million
