Soccerex is the leading provider of business events for the global football industry, holding forums and networking events held across five continents. These events include its iconic five-day Soccerex convention, set to be held in Rio de Janeiro on 20-24 November 2010. The company was launched at Wembley Stadium in 1996, and its CEO is Duncan Revie, son of the late Don Revie, the England and Leeds United manager.

smartFOCUS was chosen by Soccerex for the features and usability of its marketing software. The software will provide increased visibility of the return on investment of email and marketing campaigns, greater understanding of which campaigns are successful, and further insight into what its customers want from Soccerex events and forums.  The software will also reduce the time needed to build campaigns.

David Wright, Marketing Director for Soccerex, said: “We are a hub of the global football industry, dealing with tens of thousands of contacts across five continents. We needed a solution that was feature-rich yet easy to use, so our team members can easily build and monitor email campaigns, understand which marketing tactics are working, and continue to improve our service to the global football business community.”

Soccerex conducted a thorough review of solutions on the market before selecting smartFOCUS. David Wright explained: “There are a lot of marketing solutions and vendors in the market. As a buyer, it can be challenging to interpret all the claims to understand which solution is the most flexible and cost-effective, doesn’t require an IT department to access and analyse databases, and has all the features that a company needs to understand, fine tune, and improve relationship management – and to drive profitability. smartFOCUS was the only vendor I found that were able to meet all of those needs.”

Soccerex send campaigns including notifications, marketing and registrations for the three key events it holds across the globe each year. These are complemented by Soccerex Business Magazine, a print publication distributed every quarter, and Soccerex Business Daily, a daily football business email bulletin.

Chris Underhill, CEO for smartFOCUS, said "Soccerex is a truly innovative global player that delivers a compelling product to a global audience. We're proud to be selected by the company to deliver the tools that will help them enhance customer insight, accelerate speed of response and increase the reach of their specialist knowledge and the business opportunities this creates for its customer base."
